Mission
Slentando, is a dedicated group of talented student musicians and volunteers where our mission is to prove everyone the power of music to bring joy and uplift the spirits of those living in aged care facilities. Our group of musicians visit senior care facilities every month to perform classical and romantic period music to bring a touch of liveliness and happiness to the lives of residents.
Vision
We believe everyone deserves to enjoy live music, regardless of age or ability. We also raise awareness of the benefits of music in aged care and the importance of social interaction and keeping the music alive in our communities. Our group is committed to spreading the word about music and its power to bring people together and bring joy to those who need it the most.
Inspiration
Everything has a start story. When some of us performed in front of elderly people (some having disabilities), we saw that we lit a spark in their eyes. They started smiling ear to ear, getting excited to know the music beyond. We knew we could extend their excitement further, which is why we came up with this website. This is non-charitable, and we feel everyone, no matter how old or young you are, deserves a chance to enjoy music.
